I was listening to a recent Darkness Radio episode and an author named Brandon Callahan was on and he was talking about some Shadow Figures he had seen. He said something along the lines of that there has to be a color beyond black because these shadows were more than just black. I've been there on the podcast when describing these shadow things - hard to find the words. I've never seen one, thank God, but my theory on them is that they are not a color. I think of them as absorbing all the light so no color exists. What can do that? Squash the light or absorb the light? Theories?

As my old physics teacher often said, Black and white arent actually colours, black is the absence of light, that is to say its where no light is reflected, and white is the merging of all colours.

They are pretty creepy yet exciting to see in person. I really don't know what to make of them but I feel they absorb what light and energy is in the room and they just engulf that take over. I've heard other theories on them being evil and demonic but I don't know how I feel about that.

I wonder if they appear that way because there form isn't something that our brains can understand, or maybe don't want to understand

I often think about that as well Bob. Maybe our minds can't handle what they really are and we can how see half of them. Maybe to them we look the same? Just black masses? One day I hope someone will break that code and figure it all out.

Possibly dark matter? I have heard the same explanation many times "darker than dark" or "the blackest shadow I have ever seen" really interesting stuff.

My ex husband saw one standing over his bed- he said it emanated hate. The cabin we shared was definitely haunted by something. Luckily I never saw the shadow but I had a number of nasty incidences there.
