So I always like to ask everyone I talk with what methods they prefer to use when trying to communicate? And why? Myself I still lean on all of my recorders. I have a favorite sony that seems to capture at least one good EVP at the location we are at. There is nothing more exciting than doing a session and reviewing live playback and hearing an answer or response to a question or whatever it might have been. Some of the intelligent responses are insane. Plus I've seen and heard a few people carry on a somewhat of a conversation and it was mind blowing. That's what I'm waiting for.

Well, even though I've been instructed not to tempt the spirits *whispering out of earshot - I have been known to use my little hand held Zoom H1 recorder to ask a question or two and that is actually what we captured our possible EVP at the St. Augustine Lighthouse on.* I would not use things like a Hack Shack or Spirit Box or something like that because they leave so much open to debunking.

I'm still on the fence with the spirit box, I use the SB11 because it does do a forward and backward sweep of AM and FM stations which I guess should make it harder for radio interference but also because the wife says so lol. We've had recent luck with it at a location here in Ohio (which I really need to put you guys in contact with the people who take care of it, lots of crazy history here) But agreed though its harder to prove and make people believe. It's so hard not to tempt the spirits, I'm sure me and Sarah would both be give a life term sentence of timeout at this point. But in our defense from time to time it does produce amazing evidence!

Someone I know is sensitive. Once in a while they just pop up--they don't talk but he feels their emotions on occasion. His preferred communication is that he really wishes they didn't. Personally, whenever I've had some kind of interaction it's just been when I'm asleep and with a loved one. Whatever may happen, it gives me the shivers.
