I've made the first selection for our Book Club. I've never been part of a Book Club before, especially a virtual one. I believe the way this will go is that we take the month of May to read this book and then we'll come back here in June to comment on our thoughts. The reviews are mixed on this book, but the description was intriguing enough that I bought it. The book is: The Secret Rooms: A True Story of a Haunted Castle, a Plotting Duchess and a Family Secret by Catherine Bailey Here is the Amazon link: www.amazon.com/Secret-Rooms-Haunted-Plotting-Duchess/dp/0143124730/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

I have my copy! Ive never done this before either. Do we aim to read specific schedule? In the book club that I was apart of, you're given a set date when you'll discuss the book, so basically a due date for your homework. I think a schedule is a great idea, it'll keep us on track... Do you think a list of questions would be helpful ? As we're reading we can look themes and answers.

Wow. As an archivist, I'm going to have to read it. I tell people that I feel like in movies where libraries or archives are harmed there really needs to be a note in the credits like there is for animals--no records were harmed in the making of this film! Erasing records is a scary thought. At least when you work in government archives the whole points is to make sure that people have access to the records their tax dollars created and that leadership are held accountable. Looking forward to reading the book.

I just started reading it. So far I think it's pretty good. Is there a moderator yet? Not that I'm volunteering. I would but I'm in the throes of wedding planning.
