Just finished reading "Spook" . I really enjoyed it. Ms. Roach did a fairly credible job of researching scientific hypothesis & comparing to modern ghost lore. I'm not sure that my scientific, skeptic & atheist heart can say that ghosts DO NOT exist, but I can also say that maybe they can. Like Dana Sculley once said "I want to believe!"

Two things so far. We haven't had Charity shops with the word spastic in their name for over 20 years. The charity, which was called The spastics society is now called Scope.
Also using pregnant women to remove ghosts from a house, hehehehe.

I actually started this one before Diane but slowed down while at camp. Need to get going since I'm not even half way done and only a week left in July.

I'm almost there. I've always been fascinated by that loss of 21 grams that the body has at time of death. Interesting to think it could be the soul. Funny where people used to think the soul was kept. And how about those mediums?! I was rolling in bed the other night, laughing my arse off about birthing bunnies and such. I mean, what were these women thinking? You shouldn't be shoving all that stuff up there! And then the scientists who actually fell for that stuff.
I've really enjoyed the author's writing style and her analysis. It's interesting to look at this stuff through the lens of science!
